Description: This webinar will focus on how the symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity may mirror the effects of childhood trauma and may be confused with the symptoms of ADHD. Discussion will include how to gather a history in an effort to differentiate the symptoms along with an overview of the current treatment recommendation for trauma and ADHD will be discussed.

  • Gain a greater understanding of how to explore the impact of trauma on children's emotional and cognitive development
  • Become more familiar with the potential overlap of symptoms of trauma and ADHD
  • Receive clinical interventions to use when interviewing clients and families
  • Increase awareness of the treatment for each disorder
