A Practical Introduction to Clinical Hypnosis is a workshop presented over four sessions, through Zoom, by Dr. David Murphy. Dr. Murphy is a physician, psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field.
Clinicians, and other healthcare providers, who can benefit from this workshop, include physicians, nurses, social workers, psychotherapists, addiction counsellors and psychologists, who are curious about clinical hypnosis and are interested in learning how to apply hypnosis techniques to their clinical practices.

Session 1: February 5 2022 from 9.30am to 11.30am
Session 2: February 19 2022 from 9.30am to 11.30am
Session 3: March 5 2022 from 9.30am to 11.30am
Session 4: March 26 2022 from 9.30am to 11.30am
Each session will have a theme:
Session 1: Personal Growth and Confidence
Session 2: Peace of Mind
Session 3: Solving Problems
Session 4: Learning from the Past
All the sessions are experiential. Each session includes a group hypnosis activity, a demonstration and practice of a hypnosis induction and a demonstration and practice of a hypnosis activity that can be applied to clinical situations. There will be ample time for feedback, discussions and questions.
The sessions are provided every two to three weeks on a Saturday morning. Each session lasts two hours. The time in between each session allows time to practice new skills.
The sessions are for educational and informational purposes. The sessions are not intended to be therapeutic. However, participants may find that the workshop series contributes to their personal growth. Participants will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance for CE activities.
Prior to the workshop series, each participant is provided with a series of videos. The videos introduce the Instructor, Dr. David Murphy, and provide information about clinical hypnosis and the history of hypnosis, which means that all the online training sessions are interactive, practical and experiential. There will be no Zoom or PowerPoint fatigue at this workshop.
Participants will go to breakout rooms, to practice the hypnosis techniques. The weeks between sessions allow participants the time to practice the hypnosis techniques in clinical situations before learning new strategies at the next session.
The registration fee of $95.00 (plus taxes and fees) is for all four sessions. The sessions cannot be purchased individually and yet each session, with taxes and fees, will cost you less than $30. For added value, participants will be provided with hypnosis scripts that can be used in your clinical practice.
