An Introduction to Trauma-Informed Care for 2SLGBTQ+ Clients
June 20, 2022 @ 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. ET
Presented by: Jenna MacKay, MA, MSW, RSW
This webinar will provide an introduction to trauma experienced by 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and explore how trauma-informed principles and practices may be tailored to more effectively work with 2SLGBTQ+ individuals from an affirmative and inclusive stance. Drawing upon clinical examples, this webinar will emphasize that experiences of trauma and 2SLGBTQ+ identities are not homogenous, and will bring in an intersectional approach to demonstrating the unique experiences of individuals where multiple forms of oppressive intersect (e.g., racism, misogyny, classism, transphobia, ableism).
This Webinar is FREE for Ontario Registered Social Workers (RSW), Registered Social Service Workers (RSSW) and Students of Social Work and Social Service Work Programs. Please note: If you are not an RSW, RSSW or student of these programs in Ontario, you may still attend but will be charged a fee of $20.
