Part 1: Arts-Based Approaches Informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) | Monday, November 7, 2022 | 1PM to 2:30PM ET

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an empirically supported treatment for emotion regulation difficulties. This therapeutic modality offers a variety of evidence-based tools for coping with difficult emotional experiences. Hosted and facilitated by Adanna Anucha and Dr. Carmen Lalonde of Broadview Psychology, Part 1 will look at four core facets of DBT-informed creative arts interventions, including:

  • Metaphor use
  • Mindfulness skills
  • Distress tolerance techniques
  • Dialectics in Action

Learn about each of these DBT-informed art activities and explore ways you can use some of this model’s tools to support the mental health of the young people you work with.
