BLACK MENTAL HEALTH - RACISM'S IMPACT

Black Mental Health Series
RACISM'S IMPACT
April 28, 2021

TRUE ROOTS Counselling Services is very proud to be facilitating this 3rd Episode of the BLACK Mental Health Series - RACISM'S IMPACT.

With an esteemed panel of Awesome and Insight-Filled Guest Panelists, Kimberly Cato, Founder & CEO of True Roots Counselling Services, will facilitate this discussion about experiences with Anti-Black Racism, with the aim of creating space for people to become comfortable with the issues that silently disturb them.

The intention is to create a space of safety and openness about mental health related responses to racism necessary for Black People to feel free to talk about the daily grind of living within a system that was designed to dominate, subjugate  & silence them.

Though there is a communal sense of urgency for solutions, until we have a space where people feel able to share their experiences and articulate their needs, we will never have a solution accessible for all.

This part of the Black Mental Health Series is primarily focused on Facilitated Discussions that demonstrate the relief gained when we speak our truth, share our pain and support one another collectively. The Black Community will only find the healing necessary to manifest their greatness when empowered to release their voice.

This Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, we gather, amplify our voices in unison and interrupt the silence on the need for appropriate trauma-informed responses to the negative, intergenerational impact of anti-Black racism on the overall health & wellbeing of the Black community.
