brainXchange webinar: Avoidable hospital use of older adults with dementia, how can primary care help?

The care of people with dementia is a WHO public health priority. People with dementia use health services twice as much as people without dementia. Interdisciplinary primary care such as family practice groups and continuity of care with the family physician have been proposed as an ideal approach to managing the growing and complex population of people with dementia, but evidence of their effect is lacking, particularly in terms of equity of access to services.

Through several Canadian and international research projects, the ROSA (Research on Organization of Healthcare Services for Alzheimer’s) team will present the current state of knowledge on this burning and increasingly important issue in our aging societies.

This integrated KTE webinar event is brought to you by brainXchange in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Canada and the Canadian Consortium of Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA).
