Course Description

Bringing Ourselves In: Creating Spaces of Welcome for 2S/LGBTQIA+ People is a dynamic training that contextualizes current issues experienced by minority sexual orientations, gender diverse and intersex people that engage with your organization. We explore intersectional identities, social determinants, systemic bias, issues related to gender identity and expression, and how to create welcoming spaces and more affirming interactions with service seekers. This training is an interactive experience, offering a supportive environment to engage and ask questions that benefit personal and professional development.

Facilitator Biography

anya gwynne
anya gwynne is a queer educator and gender disruptor, who leans into awkward conversations. Over the last 15 years, they have engaged service providers, educators, and communities to create welcoming spaces and more affirming services for 2S/LGBTQIA+ people. Recently, they began a coaching practice to support parents and families of Trans and non-binary youth. anya is grateful to have worked across Turtle Island with diverse and intergenerational humans, witnessing their stories of resistance and transformation. www.anyagwynne.com
