Cannabis and the Adolescent Brain

(Virtual Presentation)

On October 11, join IAM, together with the Young Men's Christian Association – Youth Cannabis Awareness Program (YMCA-YCAP), for "Cannabis and the Adolescent Brain".

The human brain continues developing until the age of 25. During adolescence, youth learn about the world and discover who they are as their brains mature. Risky behaviours, such as using cannabis, can have harmful effects on a developing brain when use begins in adolescence.

Join us as we explore with presenter, Steve Keller with the YMCA's Youth Cannabis Awareness Program, how the human brain develops as we grow up, how compounds in cannabis interact with the human body, as well as the functions of different sections of the brain and how these can be affected by cannabis use.
