This certificate program gives professionals the opportunity to strengthen their leadership proficiency and further develop the practical skills needed to be a more effective supervisor in health and human services.

This webinar series is designed to help build skills in the following areas:

  • Essential skills for the new supervisor - explore the basics of supervision such as how to set clear expectations, delegation and providing feedback and coaching
  • Leadership and motivation - examine the leadership tools supervisors can use to connect employees to the vision of the organization and motivate them, implementing change
  • Holding difficult conversations - understand how to prepare for and conduct any difficult conversation
  • Cultivating your credibility and influence - learn how to engage people in a way that gains their trust and respect; how to create conditions for a beneficial and positive working relationship with others
