Clinical Supervision for Psychotherapists and Psychologists

Dr. Augustine Meier, clinical psychologist, Professor Emeritus and President of The Institute for Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy, is offering a 36-hour comprehensive and in depth post-graduate level course and training on clinical supervision for psychotherapists and psychologists.

The course and training are framed within a developmental, experiential, psychodynamic and systems orientation and is offered on two weekends. On the first weekend, Dr. Meier will present the current approaches to supervision which include the topics of: theoretical models; goals and functions; methods; intervention and skills; evaluation; and ethical and legal aspects. On the second weekend, Dr. Meier will present a process model of supervision which has three foci, namely, client focus, client therapist focus, and therapist supervisor focus. The three foci will be demonstrated via professionally produced video tapes. The participants will have ample time to practice the three foci of supervision.
