A 8-week group for teens starts on Feb. 18, 2021.

Are you between 16 and 19 years old and

Finding it difficult not to feel worried or anxious?

  • Wondering about important life decisions and finding it difficult to decide what to choose?
  • Feeling that you are making poor decisions about school, work and future career?
  • Struggling to communicate authentically and to be yourself?
  • Feeling like peer pressure is tough to handle?
  • Experiencing difficulties with relating to new friends and losing old friends?
  • Struggling to control your emotions and having lots of outbursts and arguments?
  • Wishing you had someone you could be honest with?
  • Worried about not being perfect?
  • Overreacting to small things?
  • Feeling very low on energy?

If you answered “YES” to at least 3 of the above, this might be a good group for you!

Using a combination of DBT, contemporary psychology and CBT strategies, our group teaches essential life skills. Learning and practicing stress tolerance and effective communication techniques will help you to feel more confident and more in control. The group will help you identify your interests and priorities and give an opportunity to learn how to address issues with friends, school and home. You will also learn strategies that will crush those angry outbursts and stop arguments from going round and round and getting nowhere!
