Difficult Dialogues

February 22, 2022 @ 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. ET

Presented by: Marci Gray, MSW, RSW, PhD(c)

This webinar aims to bring light to the individual, institutional and systemic nature of racism. This interactive and reflective session will allow learners to confront their own perspectives, become aware of unconscious biases and learn more about how racism exists and is perpetuated through our everyday interactions. Solutions for how to combat racism will be weaved throughout.

Learning Objectives:

  1. The history of anti-Black racism in Canada.
  2. How history has led to the systemic racism we see today.
  3. The difference between bias, prejudice, stereotype, discrimination and racism.
  4. How to demonstrate anti-racist empathy.
  5. Starting difficult dialogues in your workplace.

This Webinar is FREE for Ontario Registered Social Workers (RSW), Registered Social Service Workers (RSSW) and Students of Social Work and Social Service Work Programs. Please note: If you are not an RSW, RSSW or student of these programs in Ontario, you may still attend but will be charged a nominal fee of $35.
