Duality of the Reality: Living with Psychosis

Duality of the Reality: Living with Psychosis

The Schizophrenia Society of York University (SSY) is the first and only schizophrenia awareness club organization at York University that raises awareness and humanizes individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. We provide a voice for people with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, and create an atmosphere of de-stigmatization at York University.

SSY is collaborating with the Schizophrenia Society of Canada (SSC) in hosting our 4th annual panel event, "Duality of the Reality: Living with Psychosis." The purpose of this event is to hear real-life lived experiences and stories of success, hope, struggles and coping from individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis. Our guest speakers this year are Randye Kaye (co-host of “3 Moms in the Trenches” podcast), Christopher Grant (artist known as xoradmagical on social media), and Matthew Dickson (bicycled across Canada to raise funds for mental health services).
