Effective contracting/treatment planning: Improving outcome of treatment by contracting effectively

Presented by SickKids CCMH Learning Institute

Live webinar: April 1, 2022 | 1 to 4 p.m. EST

Facilitator: Greg Lubimiv, MSW, RSW, CPT-S

How you begin treatment with a client will most often define how well the client will reach the desired goals/outcomes?

This training will give clear and simple step-by-step processes which can help to maximize engagement as well as positive treatment outcomes. The model is based on a client-centered and strength-based approach which will lead to enhanced client engagement. This will include common factors which often interfere with client-centered approaches and how to avoid these. Thus, ensuring more positive treatment outcomes.

In addition, the facilitator will review several simple activities and tools to help more clearly define client driven treatment goals/objectives.

Participants will come away from this webinar with the skills to:

  • Explain why a formal contracting process will benefit overall treatment
  • Identify the key ingredients in creating an effective contract
  • Create measurable objectives
  • Create a contract even when a client has difficulty identifying goals
  • Know when to alter a contract or refine/change goals

Registration fees: $125. Student and group rates are available.
