Description: This training will focus on clinical interventions for family members of youth with emotion dysregulation. It will provide both education and intervention strategies for working with family members.
This webinar will review evidence-based treatments such as DBT-oriented approaches in both supporting and intervening with family members. This training will ask participants to engage in self-reflection and will provide the space for live role plays, as well as live discussion opportunities for participants.
Learning objectives:
- Understand clinical interventions with family members of those struggling with emotion dysregulation. This is done through live discussion, self-reflection, and videos
- Increase their competency in incorporating emotion regulation strategies into family work
COVID-19 related content: The webinar will touch upon additional challenges arising due to the pandemic and how families struggle with balancing support and parenting strategies during the restrictions.

Continuing Education (CE) information: 3 CE hours
SickKids CCMH Learning Institute has approval from the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) for participants of our programming to apply the number of CE hours earned in the program towards their continuing education hours.
Other licensing boards and professional organizations will grant continuing education credits for attendance at their own discretion; participants will need to submit the course outline and certificate for their consideration.
