Mondays in May and June from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

A Free In-person Art and Peer Support Program for your mental health is coming to the Bloor and Church area!

In 2009, Gianluca Primucci designed and launched the program Learn to Paint With Someone Who's Been There, growing it from a single class to five art workshops for youth and adults. He used every opportunity to encourage students to paint and draw—by learning to be creative through art.

With his innate good humour, Gianluca guided students to discover their creativity and courageousness by learning new expressive skills and unique aspects of themselves. This work built self-esteem and a more apparent student identity as each 'inner artist' emerged. Classes also gave participants a sense of belonging by connecting them with other students.

Today, we carry on Gianluca’s legacy. By joining Paint With Someone Who's Been There, you'll experience how creating art plays a vital role in social connection and promoting your well-being. Plus, the program is free, with all art supplies provided!

Hope + Me is proud to offer this program in the Dalton Room of St. Paul's Bloor Street, 227 Bloor Street East, between Church and Jarvis Streets. St. Paul's is just a short distance from Bloor-Yonge and Sherbourne subway stations.

Program sessions begin Monday, May 1, and continue every Monday to June 26 (holidays excepted).
