What is Harm Reduction Hangouts?
The HRH virtual drop-ins are a space by and for 2SQTBIPOC youth 16-21 interested in harm reduction and peer support. Facilitated by our team of peer workers we’re all about harm reduction in a community-centred, non-judgmental atmosphere. Participants will:
- Be entered into a draw to win a $20 gift card each week
- Have access to supplies and grocery gift cards (dependent on programming activity that week)
- Gain volunteer hours!
- Engage with other 2SQTBIPOC youth and peers while learning all about culturally-responsive approaches to harm reduction
For a taste of this month, we have talking circles, emotional harm reduction toolbox creation, arts and crafts, space to share experiences with substances, sex work, and systems, movie nights, and so much more all queued up! For a look at last month’s programming in a snapshot, please see here.
