Hate Crime in Halton - A Community Perspective

Ontario Technical University's Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism, in collaboration with Kimberly Cato, RP / CEO and Founder of True Roots Counselling Services and Kara Hart, Director of Program Development and Sustainability at John Howard Society of Peel-Halton-Dufferin, presents Hate Crime in Halton – A Community Perspective.

Members of the Region of Halton experience hate in all facets of their lives, including the systems and services that serve Halton residents. We invite you to attend our Hate Crime in Halton – A Community Perspective event to gain insight into the prevalence of hate in our communities, how hate crime and hate motivated incidents are affecting the people receiving services, and what can be done to prevent hate in organizations and agencies in the Halton Region.

This webinar is a call out to Mental Health & Addictions, Law Enforcement, Hospitals, Children's Services, Courts, Judicial System, Prisons, Secure Treatment Facilities and all other organizations and agencies in Halton (and beyond) providing services or promising support to those experiencing hate crime and/or hate motivated incidents daily. Please see the attached flyer to register for the February 22, 2023 at 1:00pm event.

We look forward to seeing you at this long awaited discussion about Hate Crime in Halton – A Community Perspective.
