These ZOOM sessions are practical, interactive, and relevant for all Physicians dealing with patients with mental illness. Focusing especially on the emotional aspects of the patient-therapist relationship these sessions are supportive and encouraging to the doctor or psychotherapist.
- Aims: these group supervision sessions:
- To provide health professionals with an opportunity to explore the emotional aspects of their work in a safe environment.
- To increase their understanding of therapist - patient communications.
- To provide support and encourage health professionals to reflect more on their work.
- Objectives: Group members will:
- Be able to consider their clinical encounters in a new light/through various lens.
- Become more aware of the significance of the relationship between the health professional and the patient.
- Be able to recognize the feelings that are evoked by the interaction with the patient and be able to use these for the benefit of the patient and be able to use the group to express and process anxieties and frustrations about their work.
The Facilitator is Dr Michael Pare, M.Sc., M.Ed., M.D. RP.
Each session is approved for 30 minutes of MDPAC Group CE and 30 minutes of MDPAC CCI.
Each Track is approved for 6 hours of MDPAC Group CE and 6 Hours of MDPAC CCI.
Track 1: Mondays 7:00 to 8:00 PM, (Earn up to one Mainpro + credit per hour) - 12 sessions (12 Mainpro + Credits)

Track 3: Fridays: 9:00 to 10:00 AM (Earn up to one Mainpro + credit per hour) - 12 sessions (12 Mainpro + Credits)
