This session covers all the YOAP workshops so participants can earn a certificate of completion by the end. Talk about the looming opioid crisis that is spreading over Canada. Learn how to keep safe from Toxic Drugs and develop coping mechanisms to stop substance use disorders. Discover how naloxone is keeping Canadians safe and how it's efficacy is declining in the face of evolving drugs. Learn how stigma can affect a person's road to recovery and how to recognize it in your own attitude and beliefs. Learn tips for how to support someone who has a substance use disorder without using language that perpetuates stigma.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion and the chance to win a YMCA membership.
