Description: This presentation will support individuals who are in a romantic or co-parenting relationship that is impacted by emotional dysregulation. Dr. Sloss will highlight DBT concepts and strategies to help people move from polarizing, conflictual and ineffective interactions toward greater understanding, connection, balance and collaboration.
About the presenter: Christine Sloss is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, parents, families, and couples. She treats clients struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, addictions, trauma, and relationship, parenting or family issues.
Christine has specialized in providing DBT to individuals across the life span, and is certified by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. She has a strong family focus and seeks to involve families, partners, or parents in treatment whenever possible.
Christine completed her Ph.D. in 2002 from DePaul University, Chicago. After returning to Toronto, she worked for eight years at CAMH, in the BPD clinic, the Eating Disorder and Addiction clinic, the Family Addiction Service and the Child, Youth and Family Program. She has been in private practice since 2009 and founded Broadview Psychology, a clinic in Toronto, Canada, that specializes in DBT.
