Why should you learn to meditate?

As our Mindfulness instructor (for over two decades) will tell you: “It has literally saved my life”.

The 70% to 80% reduction in stress levels is no magic, it follows a simple law of neuroplasticity and that is: “what you practice, grows stronger”, this means that if you practice non-reacting, paying attention to what you choose (your breath, for example), you will, eventually, be able to use this skill in any situation, to respond to all the major and minor stressors in your life, without going into over-reactive, overwhelm mode (leads to chronic anxiety and depression).

Honing the skill of mindfulness is invaluable to teens and youth amids the uncertainty and social isolation brought on by the ongoing pandemic.

This class will meet virtually (over ZOOM) every Monday for 8 weeks and each participant will come out equipped with the tools of mindfulness and a new outlook on how to deal with challenges in all areas of life.
