This workshop will outline the how to run a virtual parent support group that meets the need for isolated parents who have children with significant behavioural issues at home. Group themes and ways to engage with diverse parents will be covered. Reducing barriers and how to promote the group to parents will be outlined. Group criteria and fit will be discussed. The benefits of this treatment modality and the cohesiveness of the parents will be covered. Issues and challenges to virtual/in person groups will be discussed. Theories of groups such as the ACT model will be outlined.

Please note: If you are not an RSW, RSSW or student of these programs in Ontario, you may still attend but will be charged a nominal fee of $35
