Pathway to Strength - Men Mental Health Support Group

Date: March 5, 2024 - May 22, 2024

Time: 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

In Support of Black Mental Health, ECC is offering free men's mental health support group for BIPOC men to discuss on mental health struggles and to connect with others experiencing similar difficulties and to share effective tools for understanding and navigating through the challenges. You will find that you are not alone, and that there are others who understand what you are going through.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought about unprecedented challenges, which had a significant impact on the mental health of individuals. Men faced stress, anxiety, and uncertainty due to various factors like job loss, isolation, and health concerns. Afrocentric Theory will be integrated into traditional Eurocentric interventions so cater to men mental health. Each session will have an Adinkra symbol to lead the focus of the session.

We would also like to remind you that this setting is not for individual therapy but for group interactive discussions. We all have to make a pledge to each other to create a safe space where everybody feels comfortable sharing their own personal experiences.
