Peer Support Strong - A day to celebrate peer support

During this time of uncertainty, peer support is more important than ever to maintaining mental wellness. That's why Ontario Peer Support Development Initiative (OPDI) is partnering with with Lived Experience and Recovery Network (LERN) and Nipissing Mental Health Housing and Support Services: Peer Support Services (NMHHSS) to bring you "Peer Support Strong" – a full day celebration of the power of peer support.

This event will feature keynote addresses and workshops from peer leaders across the province and include networking opportunities with experts throughout the field. Sessions will address a wide range of pressing topics – from bringing cultural awareness to peer support practice to what you need for your virtual peer support toolkit. Come for the full event or join for the session that interests you most.

Sessions will include:

9:30-10:30am – History of Peer Support (Allan Strong, Clinical Lead Peer Support at Choices for Change)
