Retreat description :
Do you often find yourself strongly affected by certain situations that may be out of your control? Perhaps a colleague, a friend or a family member said something that activated your fear response, made you upset, or catapulted you inwards.
Perhaps you feel burned out, or exhausted at the end of your day.
Through evidence-based techniques, this one-day retreat will allow you to dive deeper into your understanding of your own nervous system and the impact it has on your overall well being.
-Develop an understanding of the root of emotional activation and acquire tools for self-regulation through Yoga philosophy, Somatic techniques, understanding of the Polyvagal theory, embodied experiences and mindfulness exercises.
-Leave with a toolkit that will help you manage your stress response, be more present with yourself and others and more connected to your own body
-Acquire a better understanding of the neuroscience of connection, allowing you to open yourself up to new possibilities in your relationships and create and maintain healthy boundaries
-The day will include gentle yoga, psychoeducation, group discussions, mindfulness, time in nature and embodied exercises as well as breathwork
-Lunch is included in the price of registration (options available for dietary restrictions)
