Spotlighted in the presentations will be the specialized services, and assistance available to help victims, survivors, and their families navigate those challenges. |

The webinar will begin with the announcement of this year's recipients of the 2nd Annual ‘Recognition Award for the Prevention of Elder Abuse’. Community Justice Initiatives of Waterloo Region (CJIWR) has been providing Restorative Services for older adults in the community since the year 2000. Participants will learn how their experiences and these restorative practices are used, to walk alongside older adults, their families, friends and neighbours as they deal with difficult situations.
CJIWR will explain how building a culture of respect, autonomy, dignity, and support with older adults is making a difference. Citing case studies, speakers will demonstrate how in doing so, CJIWR is able to meaningfully address the complex situations that often cause stress and unhappiness in people's lives.
