RNAO webinar: Indigenous Focused Webinar: Learning from the Earth: Supporting Wellness through Connection to the Lands

The Registered Nurses Association (RNAO) in partnership with Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN), Chiefs of Ontario (COO), the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Shkaabe Makwa, the Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association (CINA), and the Ontario First Nation Young Peoples Council (OFNYPC) invite you to join us on June 8, 2022 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (ET) for a webinar entitled "Learning from the Earth: Supporting Wellness through Connection to the Land” featuring guest speakers Jazmin Pirozek, Traditional Eco Knowledge, Ernie Cobiness (T3YEC) and Quinn Meawasige, Nimkii Youth Collective.

The objectives of this webinar are to:

•  Create and maintain connections between youth and healthcare providers across Ontario;

•  Support the efforts of Indigenous youth in revitalizing Indigenous language and culture;

•  Demonstrate the importance of integrating land, language, and culture into wellness;

•  Support access to traditional knowledge and shared experiences to increase youth’s sense of cultural and personal identity and belonging.
