Save the Date - OPDI Annual General Meeting

The OPDI team is excited to share that this year's AGM will be taking place on October 4th & 5th. This year's conference will be a virtual event once again, but we are planning full programming. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks to come!

We are also excited to invite proposals in several formats for our two conference themes: i) Promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in peer work, and ii) Innovations in and advocacy for peer voice, mutual aid, and peer support in mental health and addictions. All are welcome to submit a proposal, including those who will be first-time attendees.

We will be accepting proposals until June 30, 2021. More information HERE about our AGM's themes & the Request for Proposals.

30 YEARS STRONG:
Registration Now Open for OPDI's 2021 Annual Conference - October 4 and 5th
This year’s conference will be virtual and open to everyone, so please feel free to distribute this information widely.

Keynote speaker, David Reville, will be kicking this year’s conference off for us.  In addition to workshops, we have introduced a new Peer Playground format; a more engaging way for us to share information with each other on targeted areas of expertise and interest. And our lineup of speakers is a reflection of our world’s current challenges:
  • Promoting diversity and inclusion through our work;
  • How our profession was able to deliver critical and continued service to our most underserved demographics through a global pandemic; and
  • Using innovation and an evidence-based approach to peer support, as we collectively work towards professionalization and much-needed recognition of within our Province’s healthcare framework
The event will end with a performance/ keynote address from Victoria Maxwell and will be honouring individuals and an organization for their excellence in peer support, you don’t want to miss this!
