This interactive webinar will explore policy and programmatic strategies to prevent and reduce youth e-cigarette use in Canada. Drawing upon evidence from international strategies to reduce youth vaping and approaches from other areas (e.g. tobacco prevention) that could be applied, participants will have the
opportunity to consider various approaches to addressing youth vaping in their provinces and/or communities.
Learning objectives include:
- To increase knowledge regarding the current landscape of tobacco cessation goals
- To explore the relationship between nicotine use and achieving total cessation goals
- To explore trends in teen vaping and teen vaping reduction targets
- To increase knowledge regarding policies and evidence-based programs that reduce youth initiation of vaping
- To increase knowledge regarding effective approaches to youth e-cigarette cessation
- To increase knowledge of strategies that reduce youth use of other substances that can inform strategies to address youth vaping
