This training is suitable for:
Mental Health Professionals: psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, social workers.
Medical Professionals: nurses, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family doctors.
Direct Service Workers: Drop in workers, shelter and hostel workers, child and youth workers, youth justice workers.
Educators: Teachers, ECE, school administration, support staff.
First Responders: Police, firefighters, paramedics.
Level of training: Introductory/intermediate
Description: Everyone needs a “go-to” practice for building and/or repairing relationships at work. Cultivating an appreciative mindset (the ability to see what is important and of value to others) is crucial in these times.

- A practice for listening that leads to authentic respect and connection
- How to optimize your time (and attention) when a meeting turns towards complaints, objections and disagreements
- How to compliment people that is neither patronizing, manipulative or insincere
- How to alter your experience of people who are sources of stress for you
