Webinar: Investigating impacts of COVID-19 on 2SLGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness

2SLGBTQ+ youth are overrepresented among the homeless youth population and experience significantly higher rates of mental health issues compared to heterosexual and cisgender youth. This study aimed to understand the specific challenges, coping strategies, and mental health responses during the COVID-19 pandemic among 2SLGBTQ+ youth at risk of, and experiencing, homelessness in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas. Our study highlights the need for 2SLGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming health care and support services for precariously housed youth to address the pre-existing social and health issues that have been exacerbated by the pandemic.
