SPACES STILL AVAILABLE! This is a two-part webinar based on the “Connections” program, which is a comprehensive clinical support tool for treating problem gambling. The Connections program consists of four modules and it can be utilized in whole or in part to enhance a therapy session. The program has been empirically supported (see Connections Therapy: An Assessment of a New Treatment Program for Disordered Gamblers Kim, H. S, & Wohl, M. J. A. 2017) and for almost a decade has served as a foundational component in the treatment of problem gambling. It has proven to be highly effective when delivered individually or in a group setting, and with couples and concerned significant others. The program has tremendous utility in terms of the work done with the Precontemplator population (TTM) and with mandated clients. A key feature of the program is that it is equally effective when delivered virtually. The webinars will include an overview of the clinical underpinnings and the approach taken to facilitating the program content. The focus will be on highlighting program content and demonstrating the value of visual representations/depictions of clinical concepts and problem gambling experiences. The webinars will also introduce a unique approach to addressing gambling cognitive distortions as well as the use of experiential exercises. When you register for the webinar on October 26th, you are automatically registered for the second webinar on November 16th, also from 13:00 to 14:00 hours. Total of 2 CEUs.
