The role of online apps and interventions in gambling treatment and support

I posted a few weeks ago about the University of Sydney's Technology Addiction Team weekly one-hour seminar series on design, emerging technologies and the impact gambling behaviour.

However, seeing the recent activity in our COI posts, I wanted to highlight one talk in particular entitled, The role of online apps and interventions in gambling treatment and support.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm in the process of designing/developing a self-management app for recovery from gambling problems so looking forward to hearing this presentation.

This is super interesting Flora! We'd love to hear more about the development and implementation of your app.

Hi I believe I signed up for it under the main calender. I was looking for a registration??

Thanks,

Hi Chris,

As someone also planning on attending the event, I was also a little confused about registration. I registered for the "series" here.

The Eventbrite email I received contained this message:

We will send out updates prior to each webinar, but in the meantime, feel free to subscribe to our YouTube channel where you will be able to access the live-stream of each webinar: https://www.youtube.com/user/kphilander

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact our team via email:

Tom Swanton: thomas.swanton@sydney.edu.au

I'm going to hang tight and assume I'll get an email closer to the event start time.   But it looks like you can also email Tom if you have further questions.

The good news is, they are also really good at posting the recordings to youtube (link above) after the event, in case you aren't able to watch live and/or want to refer the recording later.
