- problem gaming has been associated with externalized pathways (conduct problems) and internalized pathways (depressive symptoms) in adolescence

- Based on the results of the studies, the presence of both conduct problems  and depressive symptomsappear to increase the risk for the development of problem gaming and gambling

- Poor impulse control and emotion dysregulation can be identifiedas a connection between internalizingand externalizingproblems, found in both males and females in the studies.
