https://www.screenagersmovie.c...gaming-and-strangers

17 minute podcast.

Dr. Delaney Ruston speaks with 11-year-old Mira, regarding what she likes about the popular gaming platform Roblox and the video game Minecraft.

1.  Mira notes how her gaming has allowed her to have fun, be creative, and improve in some math skills.

2.  She also shares experiences of strangers making attempts to connect with her, commenting on her attractiveness and making inappropriate advances  while gaming and her need to block them.

3.  There is an important comment at the end about children being afraid to tell their parents about such occurrences online out of fear of parents restricting their use of the gaming platform.  Parents are encouraged to give their children permission to speak about such events and talk about both the benefits and risks involved in gaming.
