This article points out many negative consequences of social media addiction that are very similar to the ones that were mentioned in the article I read. It also mentions that time spent on social media was positively related to depressive symptoms in high school students in the USA and Serbia. This is something that is particularly important to clinicians such as myself who work exclusively with youth.
