I wrote a couple of papers on the topic. I've posted below the reference to the most comprehensive. its a few years out of date, but has a wealth of information of different films and their content. The paper is probably due for an update. Turner, N.E., Fritz, B., Zangeneh, M., (2007). Images Of Gambling In Film. Journal of Gambling Issues . 20 ,117-144.

@Registered Member thank you for these suggestions! @Registered Member we have lots of fodder for upcoming Movie Clubs! Has anyone seen Uncut Gems? I saw it before I joined GGTU, but I think a re-watch is in order, now that I would bring a news lens to it.

I wish I had time to update it. So much to do. So little time. Note there are also some movies reviews I've done published on the JGI. For example I published a comparison between the two versions of "Walking Tall".
