Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest

The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

Hi Group, I am reaching out to you- members of the GGTU CoI, to find out if you are interested in forming a community of practice on gambling for frontline service providers. This will be a space to collaborate on developing resources, protocols, best practices, etc., and also come together at scheduled forums or meetings to learn and discuss current issues. It would be more focused than the mandate of this CoI. Is there a need to have a separate CoP or could we accommodate these actions/ functions within this existing CoI? Your thoughts and ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sudha

Hi Sudha. This sounds like Gambling Issues International, a listserv I developed and ran between 1999 and 2016. We had members from many countries. GII was a useful exchange for clinicians, researchers, educators and others. If my experience can be of use let me know.

Hi Nina,

When Yahoo Groups closed, we were pleased to be able to provide an alternative platform and invited many from the Gambling Issues International listserv members to join this CoI.

Your feedback is appreciated and welcome, should you have suggestions for this space.

Chloe
