Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest

The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

We have just released the new Inventory of Gambling Situations (IGS) mobile app. Launched in mid-September, this app provides a mobile-friendly version of the IGS, asking clients with problem gambling or suspected gambling problems about their past-year gambling frequency in 63 different situations that may put them at risk. The app provides an easy-to-use, accessible layout and the option for clinicians to get instant results with their clients in the absence of a computer. You or your client can download the app for mobile phones or tablets through the Apple Store and Google Play Store (also through our IGS evidence-informed practice page here).

If you want to learn more about the IGS and how it can be used in practice, you can also register for our upcoming webinar on Relapse Prevention and the Inventory of Gambling Situations on November 14 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm EST here.
