The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

On Wednesday December 7th, 2022, GGTU hosted Dr. Cameron M. Clark., Ph.D., Psych. who presented during the webinar entitled Problem gambling and its relationship to major mental illnesses”.

Problem gambling impacts various populations including those who experience mental illnesses. However, the experience of problem gambling may present differently in people who experience major mental illnesses.

In this presentation, Dr. Clark presents a research article he co-authored titled “A qualitative analysis of the effects of a comorbid disordered gambling diagnosis with schizophrenia”. In the presentation he overviews the study and explores different practice recommendations.
