Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest

The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

A warm welcome to all new members, and a big hello to all those who have been part of the subgroup for a while.

To introduce myself, my name is Anita Corsini and I recently joined the Gambling, Gaming, and Technology Use (GGTU) team here at CAMH. Part of this new role will involve facilitating conversation on this online subgroup, as well as organizing other knowledge sharing activities relevant to researchers and practitioners in the field of gambling, gaming, and technology use. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to collaborate on any activities or events in the future. You can send me a private message on this platform or contact me via email: anita.corsini@camh.ca.

I've provided some information below to help get you oriented. But also note that we are planning on hosting a webinar in January to support members with navigating the platform and getting the most out of their membership. Stay tuned for more details!

We encourage you to post both in the Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest subgroup and on the main EENet Connect site, and so we want to ensure you post in the place where you intend to.

To post on the main site (for any of EENet Connect’s over 16,000 members interested in mental health and addictions to see):

  • Click on the green ‘Post’ button that appears on the homepage of eenetconnect.ca

To post in the Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest subgroup (for only subgroup members to see):

  • Either go directly to the URL for the subgroup OR click on ‘Subgroups’ in the menu on the homepage of eenetconnect.ca.
  • In ‘Your subgroups’- a list of all the groups you are member of will appear - Click on ‘Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest’. You will know when you are in your subgroup when you see the subgroup name and description at the top of the page, above a light grey path bar.
  • Click on the green ‘Post’ button - you can then post your discussion topic, resource (file), or event for the calendar on the subgroup page.

All emails that you receive from EENet Connect will indicate if the post you are being notified about is on the main site or in the Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest subgroup. If you’d like to receive fewer notifications, don’t forget to select your notification preferences.

If you have any further questions about the site, please feel free to contact the EENet Connect administrators  via eenetconnect@camh.ca.
