Human trafficking linked to violence against Indigenous women, girls

At a hearing for the National Inquiry on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, RCMP Assistant Commissioner Joanne Crampton suggests the current statistics on human trafficking fall short of capturing the scope of the issue and that human trafficking is strongly linked to high rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls.
