Volunteer Opportunity: Youth Peer Support Facilitator

Hope + Me - Mood Disorders Association of Ontario is seeking youth volunteers ages 15 to 25 to be part of the youth-oriented Peer Support Drop-in Group which will be held online every Saturday.

The role will require the volunteer to work on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  The start date is Saturday, April 3, 2021. Applications will be accepted to March 28, 2021 (inclusive).

If you want to be part of the Hope + Me initiative to help other youth gain life skills through Peer Support for mental health, please see the opportunity description and application below.  This opportunity will provide applicants a great experience that can be used towards social service hours or to build your resume.

The purpose of the Youth Peer Support Group Drop-in Program is to provide a safe, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere of support by using the guidance of professionals studying and working in the field of mental health.

Volunteers must be a reliable resource for their peers by contributing to building life and mental health wellness skills in a support group setting.

Location: This is a virtual support program in an online format.
