About Amethyst

Amethyst Women’s Addiction Centre, founded in 1979, is a day treatment program offering alternative addiction services to women-identified and/or gender diverse individuals in the Ottawa area. Our goal is to support folk’s empowerment in addressing challenges in their relationships with substance use and gambling. Amethyst provides a variety of day-treatment services (including individual therapy, group therapy, workshops), health promotion services (community partnerships and engagement through workshops and events) and public education. We operate as a modified feminist collective which provides a range of services to our communities based on core values of anti-oppressive practice and client-centred care.

We are looking for new board members to join us in our work.

Our board is a committed group of volunteers who work to support the organization in a variety of capacities. We are particularly interested in applications from those who can share their skills/experience/interest in the areas of human resources, pay equity, fundraising, governance
