August 12th marked the 21st annual United Nations International Youth Day.
International Youth Day gives an opportunity to celebrate and mainstream young peoples’ voices, actions and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal and equitable engagement.
This year the theme was “Youth Engagement for Global Action”, seeking to highlight the ways in which the engagement of young people at local, national, and global levels is enriching institutions and processes, and drawing lessons on how youth representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be enhanced.
What have you seen become enriched as a result of engaging youth in the mental health/substance use sector?
Join the #31DaysOfYOUth campaign on social media throughout the month of August to celebrate young people and promote broader youth engagement!
