A major international evidence review and clinical guidelines have been published today on the use of nutraceuticals (nutrient-based natural products) and phytoceuticals (plant-based natural products) in the management of various psychiatric illnesses.

The guidelines were commissioned by The World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP) and Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT) and are the result of the work of 30 leading academics and clinicians from 15 countries. They are published in World Journal of Biological Psychiatry. The full article can be accessed here.
