Hi there,

I am wondering if any organization has created a human trafficking policy, procedure or protocol?  Will one protocol work for all types of human trafficking?  If you have developed something or know of anyone that has, could you kindly share this information with me?

I work in public health and am doing a scan of what is currently out there.  Thank you sooo much and all the best,

Sara

Hi Sara! Great to see you here--I am wondering if you would also like to post this in the MHP in Public Health Community of Practice? Let me know and maybe we can get @Registered Member to add you to the group?

There is an Anishnaabe Kwe in Sudbury who is the working on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Awareness with the Greater City of Sudbury Police Force.  They have hosted two annual conferences already on raising awareness on this yet another tragic reality targeting Aboriginal Women.  When I get back to Sudbury I will get her contact information and see what they have developed.  Miigwech.

I sit on a local anti-Human Trafficking committee in Owen Sound-Public Health is at the table as well as local police services, mental health and addictions, probation, victim services, WVAP, VAW and many others. It would be beneficial to have an ongoing conversation. We are in the process of  adding Human Trafficking into our existing sexual violence/domestic violence protocol
