Learning Objectives:
Upon attending the day, attendees will be able to:
- Compare and describe current evidence-based pharmacotherapy options for people who use substances in both the withdrawal and maintenance phase, including opiate agonist treatment and anti-craving medications
- Compare and describe psychotherapy principles and available psychosocial treatments for people who use substances
- Engage in a discussion around various treatment approaches for complex patients presenting with concurrent disorders
- Describe the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on the Treatment of Mental Health and Addictions
