Hi @Registered Member - better to post content only in one place so people don't get notified about the same content twice. There is space to provide the same amount of content in both Topic and Event posts. Many EENet Connect members only engage with the types of posts they have selected to be notified about on their notification preferences page - some only want to hear about calendar events, and some only want to hear about discussion topics, which is one reason it can be beneficial to distinguish between the two.
